Hi,

Have done that and they want silly money for a new regulator!!! Only bosch make it, no one else seems to make an alternative (sods law i - would need the expensive one).

Does anyone have an old regulator in their garage? (will pay for it obviously), (doesnt matter if the brushes are no good), i want to see if its possible to get sum different brushes to fit in one. Would use my old one but the casing broke up.

Thanks
Mike

alternator

I had problems with my alternator recently.

try a PM to CnCfab, he had an alternator for sale excellent condition and very reasonable
unfortunately did not fit my truck.

may fit yours.

In the end got my one rebuilt as i got silly quotes and none or little guarentee from breakers (£75 plus P&P)

It was cheaper and made more sense to get rebuilt.
My problem was the regulator/ rectifier

hope you get sorted

I got a new one from my local(ish) auto electrical place, Panks Auto, for not a lot of money. I just gave them my alternator model number and they looked it up on their system, like i said, it didnt cost much, maybe £15 or so

Try Motolec, Linden Road, Brownhills, they can rebuild and repair while you wait
