alternative rear bumper lights?

has anyone ever replaced the rear bumper lights with anything other than original maverick/terrano type lights?
im getting a bit fed up with the loom and bulb holders requiring attention every now and then.
i was wondering if anyone modified the bumper or other lights.
if so please supply pics if poss, damn i feel like im zippy lol

I see what you did, convert the lights in the pillar.
Good idea and it would give me better reverse lights as well
