To the T2. After almost 4 years and 30000 miles with us, we bought a replacement today. Fiat Panda Cross, with the twinair engine and about all extras there are to be had, delivery expected end July.

Love the T2, but keeping it here in Flanders doesn't make economic sense anymore, with the 800 EUR annual tax, fuel consumption linked to diesel price (steadily increasing) at £1,3/litre, upcoming emission legislation effectively banning it from entering major towns, and the upcoming repairs needed to keep it on the road...

I'll still be popping in here from time to time, but as a non-T2 owner :)

That’s a great pity to say goodbye to the truck. I’m thoroughly expecting our tin pot nanny state government to make it harder and harder for us too. Our government seem to keep finding headline grabbing legislation as smoke screens for other things but nuf said about that.
Good luck with your new car and of course photos. This club is more than just 4x4 vehicles so don’t be a stranger.

Fuel Emissions

There does seem to be a lot of blame being given to motorists and the polution the private user causes. Never understood why they do not tackle the bulk of the poluters such as H.G.V.'s & of course aircraft not to mention ships at sea.

Can't argue with the economics though for you in Belgum as regards 800 Euros Annual Tax. My mate has a Panda 4x4 Penguine edition it's about 4 years old now and he loves driving it.
