Anyone used one of these Repair kits sold on ebay?
I'm thinking of giving one a go to tart up my shabby Ali's cos I can't find anyone who does a proffesional job close to where I live.

Alloy Wheels

Same fing innit? Refurb-Repair!

They are very tatty, flaky surface and a few scratches etc.
I can't afford to buy new ones, so I thought I'd clean em off and tart em up a bit.
I've seen ads on ebay for people who do R&R jobs quoting £40, but don't know if thats each wheel or all four! I suspect the former!
Cars not worth spending mega bucks on and as I'm medically retired on a pension, I don't have lots of dosh, but I do have lots of time!

normal price for refurb alloy wheels around here is £60 per wheel ..... thats wot i was quoted anyway

Repair I would think meant welding in bits and straightening rim creases etc. Not a DIY job.
Refurb though as you mean I think is mainly a simple strip down of the lacquer. I've not used those kits but can you borrow a shot blaster or take them to a blacksmith to blast them for you. Should only cost a few quid a wheel if he's blasting anyway add them to his job list, cash rules by the way :sly
Nitromos might do the job too :) Goodluck.
Put some pics up and we'll all have a butchers at your problem :naughty
