Aircon question

I've had my T2 for 3 years now and never used the aircon - to tell the truth it doesn't work because it's not pressurised. :augie

I am used to the type of aircon where ,,,, one winds down the window:thumbs

If I'm not using the aircon and have no intention of repairing it .... can I just put a hacksaw to the belt and remove the drive to save a few MPG?

yes that is the way to go, did that on mine 6 months ago, then removed the compressor completely, and used the mounting bracket on the off roader and fitted a second alternator for the winch, air con with today's fuel price is a luxury few can afford, Rick
