Hi,

My airbag light is continuously flashing (2005 2.7 Terrano). I have had this before and the download workshop suggestion worked a treat. It's been fine for about 6 months but it has started again suddenly. However the procedure as per the workshop downloads hasn't worked for me this time.

I did a search of the forum and noticed there is another way; something to do with pressing the switch in the door several times quick with keys in ignition.

Has this worked for anyone else and what / which switch in the door is this?

Cheers.

think if it has just started by itself and the reset does not work then you have developed a bad connection some place and that will be the reason the reset does not work, after disconnecting the battery for half an hour look at all the yellow connections for water damage disturbance, remember some T2s have the trigger under the centre handbrake console others it is in the steering wheel, there may be other places, Rick

it's the single airbag, square headlight terranos from 1995 to 1996 that have them in the steering wheel, all from mid 1996 have them under center console next to handbrake :thumb2

thanks for that, but sure I will not remember in a few days, :doh, Rick

Thanks for the comments.

In respect of "disconnecting the battery for half an hour" would that in itself maybe rectify the fault?

Cheers.

no just makes fiddling with air bag stuff safe, you do not want to unplug a connector and have the bag go off in your face, it will hurt more than you can imagine big time, Rick

yea been there done that 40 years ago cannot do it no more, you keep your brain going, you will do well, Rick

I'm just the same Rick, i know loads of stuff about crap and nothing about important stuff.

I tell people my brain is like an old PC, it got filled up years ago and now has no room for more information with out chucking some other stuff out, and its the other stuff i know i'm going to need when its gone. :lol
