Air lock me thinks

Morning all
Can anyone tell me the quickest way to clear an air lock in my radiator. I have only warm air comming from my heater after a top up of anti freeze. It was working great before.

Drive it and rev it hard it you don't anyway, also squeesing the pipes back and forth whilst its running.

Contary to popular beleif having the heater on or of has no effect on the cooling system as there are no valves controlling the water in the heater only flaps that direct the air through the matrix or around it.

You need to get the pump pumping properly and the engine fully hot so the thermostat will be open (not easy at this time of year) that way the water will flow.

I have to say my engine never gets really hot the temp gauge never moves but there was hot air comming out of it even though the temp gauge did;nt move:nenau So is it ok to just sit in it and rev it till it gets hot ?

let it warm up before you rev it - but really you need to take it out for a drive, the noise etc when your stoppd will mean you probably won't do it enough tbh - its a lot easier when driving.
