This might seem strange but my 55 plate T2 doesn't have an air con fan & looking at the mounting points I don't think there has been one fitted & to make things stranger I can't find the wiring either:confused: A friend is stripping his motor & said I can have the 13-14" uni fit fan off it for nothing:D so thought if I can find out where the wiring is i'll fit it so the air con is a lot cooler as at slow speeds it's not that good, so anyone know the rout of the wiring:augie if not i'll have to fit a manual switch for it:doh

im not sure there is on later models.

there isn't one on my 03, and I looked at an 05 at the weekend-no aircon fan.

Cheers Clivvy:thumb2 Nissan must have been penny pitching again:doh Had a look around the N/S by the head light & couldn't find a wiring plug but don't know if Nissan just didn't fit the fan or they put the base model engine bay wiring harness on all of the models

excuse my ignorance... air con fan? built in isnt it? never heard of a seperate fan, would you mind enlightening me? i have 2 sockets hanging either side of rad, measuring 5.4v but no idea what for but thats beside the point. thanks, mike

On some there is a 9-10" fan on the N/S infront of the air con condenser that comes on when the air con is switched on to lower the temp of the air con gas

yeah, on pretty much every car in existence, there is a fan attached to the air con condenser. Which is why its very odd that there isn't one on the later T2's, I can only assume its because the viscous fan drags in a lot of cold air!?

I think that was Nissan's idea but tbh I think they really could do with a fan as well:augie i'll get around to fitting it & can report back if it makes much difference & having a switchable fan can only help in the summer when towing/stuck in traffic
