Hello everyone, need some help with my terrano sve, had the car 2 weeks all fine, but just this week the air bag / seat belt warning light started flashing all the time, is there any way of finding out which might be faulty...airbag or seats?.i have tried disconecting the battery over night to see if that would "reset" any thing but that did not work, had a quick look at the wiring under the front seats(cos i had valet the car when i got it) but all wiring looks ok? . any info or ideas would be great....steve

You could try the following to see if it works on your motor and help find any fault.

1.Ensure ignition switched OFF
2.Open drivers door
3.Switch ignition ON
4.Check SRS light illuminates
5.Operate drivers door switch 5 times within 7 seconds of switching ignition ON
6.Count SRS warning light flashes & note trouble code.
Each trouble code consists of two groups of flashes separated by a 2 second pause.

To erase any codes found turn ignition OFF after accessing them in step 5.

If this works let me know the code and I will try and tell you what it is

Hi doyleywood have you had anything under the front seats :?: just wondering if the seat belt pre tensioners cables could have been knocked & they are making a bad conection :?

wow, it worked, i was skeptical to say the least, tried method in downloads, and didnt work, tried door/light switch, and worked first time, but no visible patern to flash's in diag mode. but after switch off no light!
that took a shorter time i expect, than the time it took the old owner to remove dash, and cut wires to warning lamp, he had also taken out check engine lamp, due i expect to dirty maf, i cleaned when power apeared down, not due to light.
