has anyone replaced the electric aerial on a mistral / terrano ? .... is it easy ( could i do it ? ) .... what is involved ? , do you have to take the inner wing off ? :nenau

It's a while ago since I had an aerial in the wing:augiebut on my old maverick the inner plastic wing needs to be undone. It's just some push fit plastic rivet things and some screws round the wing edge. Fiddly if you cant crawl about in there:eek:
Easier with the wheel off too:thumbs

mine needs doing too ....

let us know how you get on ... this will determine if i will replace it or not ... :)

never done one, but i know you have to take the inner wing out! best bet is to jack up that side and as Makeitfit says, remove the wheel.

Aerial was first job stereo removed by pervious owner by cutting wires (thanks) Aerial wire cut so short useless so removal only choice.

Let heart rule head buying this, now discovered no jack or wheelbrace anyway got wheel off with trolley jack etc inner wing off thats easy worse of all threading new aerial wire its so tight just attach to old one and pull it through all done and working fine the whole job took 5hrs just the aerial took about 2hrs of that the rest was sorting out the cut wires easy job Im no wizkid and at least the Mrs now has sounds

Paid my tenner and first bit of advice was remove wheel to do job which helped me find out no jack worth every penny......Bloody glad I joined Cheers

Can the plastic rivets be re-used, or does removing them (presumably pushing the centre through) mean you have to fit new ones?
