Can't imagine for the life of me why they'd be different.:nenau

That's what I thought but as it only mentioned SWB I thought I would ask, if there is a chance it is different you can be guaranteed I would order the wrong ones and I take it they aren't LH or RH, you just turn them around?

SO..... are they the same, can anyone give me a definitive answer before I go ahead and buy them?

All I can add is that there are two bore sizes for the Terrano they differ by about 1 mm my LWB has the larger size, but I do not KNOW if the SWB would have the smaller bore but would suspect it does, Rick

I just bought one for the shortie today, I will just go out to the car and check the box!

shortie part number LW26505

will agree with Rick, i got new cylenders for mine a while back and the bore was to thickto fit the drum by about 1mm

Cheers guys, I will order the right ones from Milners it's not like they are terribly expensiveand at least will have the right ones.

Thanks again for your help.
Jim

They are cheap in Millners £14 ish +vat and post tried to order them yesterday for my 2003 terrano but they had none in stock and didnt know when they would get any in had to go to local motor factors £36 a side ouch

Bloody Norah, mine were about £11 each from the Jap motor factors in Abergavenny

And I'm still going to call you lot on this one.....I appreciate that someones bought one that seemed 1mm different but I've looked in three places now and apart from an understandable difference between pre and post facelift (and the infamous Mistral of course), the rear cylinder doesn't seem to be spec'd as being different between SWB and LWB. And it defies logic too - I mean as a manufacturer why would you complicate your ordering, stock and logistics processes by speccing two slightly different wheel cylinders just because one truck is six inches shorter than the other?

I mean apart from stuff like the propshaft that HAS to be different because of physical dimensions, Nissan made everything from the LWB fit the SWB from doors to glass to lord knows what else.

So until someone posts the two different part numbers (same manufacturer) I'll remain sceptical.

I paid over the odds for mine, as I got it at a local factors that was nearby - and it was £18 I think! Delphi brand.

Ebay have them from £11, but when I wanted mine I wanted it fast - not that it mattered, as the half shaft bearings decided they liked living where they were....so ended up getting a local garage to press them out, and they had difficulties!:lol

(Last time they do me a favour!)

I agree :thumb2

i remember once comparing the cylinders to ones our local factors had in stock and I'm sure we fitted some that were listed for a transit van. I could be wrong of course
