With this rain and working late I've not been able to get under the truck, but had today off so finally did my oil and filter, 7500miles since last change so not too bad at all :)

Also sorted through my tool box for the first time in 10 years and had a carrier bag full of old parts, switches, gaskets and general shit, and added the few new sockets and spanners I'd got of late to replace missing ones :)

That's not a full tool kit...

Where's the grinder and the very big hammer.:nenau

How are you expecting to achieve anything without those...:doh

:augie:augie

Oh don't worry about that mate, I've got some heavy weapons in my garage :D

I could do with one of those drawers in my shed, Tools are all piled up on one shelf.

Looking good ;)

Big drawer at the bottom is still full of shit, bolts, washers and shit

Also got my nutsert kit in there, digimicrometer, compression tester, big ******* hammer and a reg for my mig

Got a taskmaster 10 ton press for pushing bearings out etc, got my arc, grinder, sanders, and then shit loads of joinery tools

Cheers for the love guys, ya can't beat a showing off your tools thread :D

Nice tool box Stinka, I'm after one like that as I have 2 canter lever types full to bursting.
I'm sure I have to many tools but I wouldn't have it any other way. :thumb2

10 tonne press...

hmmm.

nice one...:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

we just got more tools, so loads more tools now, biggest we is got 3 different sizes of chop saws & a 12t tube bender :thumb2, adapted a bottle jack for a press :lol

still need more tho need a 4 post ramp in there

Anyone thinking of buying a tool chest, I can recommend these.

Had mine about 15 years. Bottom drawer fell off it's runners due to being very overloaded, so be careful. Apart from that they're pretty tough.

looks pretty good. after viewing this I went on to looking at job lot tools the power tools what people on there selling are crap. but there making money ive been chucking dewalt and Makita and hitachi in the shed for years all still workable tools might find them out put on ebay

You have to spend good money to get good tools. Makita used to be great, but anything they put their name on after 2003 is shite. NOw made in China. I've never rated Dewalt but the chippy's love 'em. Made in China.
It's a shame the 'old' names aren't that good any more. Take Hilka for example. I've been using the same Hilka 1/2" ratchet handle since I was 17. It's been hit with very big hammers, lent on with scaffold poles, used as a lever, used as a hammer, had the whole weight of a car dropped on it to undo a very tight hub nut, left out in the rain for several months, and generally mistreated and abused. Still works perfectly. Bought a Hilka jack last month, broke the first time I used it. Everything's made in china nowadays, and it's all shit.

Late night rant over.:D

I agree mate, you get what you pay for.

I've got mostly snap-on but I had to replace 3# of my sockets and about 4 combi spanners. I bought silverline sockets ( these are identical to snapon flank drive) and halfords pro spanners, sockets were £2 each spanners £1 per mm, these have lifetime guarantee !!

I'll see how these go on, I doubt they'll be as resilliant as snapon to abuse but at like 1/4 the price I don't think it worth buying high end basics when the cheap stuff is so close

Hate 4 posters, 2 posters much better ;)

nope they chew sills or if the sill is weak it'll colapse, but then again a 4 poster with the standard jack can't get my wheels off the ground :doh as i found out at mot time :augie
