Abs sensors...HOW MUCH???????

does anyone know where I can get a drivers side front abs sensor for

Its to fit a 2001 2.7td not the tdi.
I would rather scrap the abs system altogether than pay that. Is that possible?
my mot is due in December and it will fail if the abs light is on on the dash (which is intermittent)
I was told to take it out and clean it with brake cleaner but my mate reckons it might not come out in one piece?

Thats not a bad price.You will struggle to get one second hand as almost impossible to remove the front ones seize solid.
