my abs light on dash is staying on turn ignition off and on light blinks and i hear a click light stays on any ideas please

Usual suspect is nsf sensor. How about trying to read codes from ecu as per download.

Jim T

No but the ECU may have recorded the fault so may blink the code via the MIL.

ECU records faults as well as controlling the electronics of the car. The download explains how to get the ecu to tell you what may be wrong. It does this by Flashing the MIL, you count the flashes to give you the code.

Often the NSF ABS Sensor wire breaks, usually where it clamps to the suspension arm. Normally this break can be soldered and taped up as a new sensor is £250 the last time I checked earlier this year.

thanks jim ive tryed driveing with abs light on switch off ignition wile freewheeling switch back on and start engine light goes out then when i stop it comes back on

Sounds a bit like mine was when the nsf sensor was faulty. You can trace the wires from behind the wheel through the inner wing and then to a plug connector just inside the engine bay. If it turns out to be the nsf sensor it isnt difficult to fix but you cant remove the sensor from the hub as it will be rusted in and gets damaged if you do try and remove.
