abs light on

My abs light is on it stays on most of the time but every now and then under breaking at low speed i get a juddery pedal and light goes out and stays out till engine is turned off but comes on again when restarted
Checked for broken wire all ok
What else do i need to check?

Where have you checked for a broken wire?

It can be the sensor at one of the wheels that could be faulty, and a broken wire on one of those can be the culprit.

My N/S/F sensor wire has broken about 4 or 5 times in total since I've had the car. The last time I fixed it myself and really went to town on it. Seems to break inside the thick insulation where it clips to the lower arm.

check the continuity on the two wires from the sensor and then at the connector end it should read 0.9-1.1 ohms. if it doesn't then its got a break . if you look in workshop manual it comes under br-54 to br-56
