Aargh! 2.7TDi won't start after the battery went flat

I had the stereo running for a few hours without the engine running and flattened the battery.
Now it won't fire up with a jump start. Turns over fine, but won't fire up, and was starting and running perfectly beforehand.
I'm completely stumped, and need the car tomorrow! Any ideas?

Are you sure you connected the jump leads the correct way around?

check all the fuses in the engine bay fuse box. Not sure what else to suggest?

Do you get all the correct warning lights at key on?

By some amazing coincidence, there was an airlock in the diesel lines...
