Dear Members.

The first issue of the new quarterly magazine “Total Nissan” will be published 14th December 2007.

We are pleased to say Total Nissan is being published by a very reputable company who already produce a similar magazine for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo – “Total Evo” – and also “Total Impreza” for Subara Impreza enthusiasts and owners. Both magazines have gone down a storm with their readers. These magazines will be published under the banner of Total Car Magazines by a company in Livingston, Pathfoot Limited who also produce other titles.

Total Car Magazines attend many events such as JAE, Jap Show Finale as well as many rolling road and track / sprint days etc to promote the magazines. You may have seen them promoting the mags recently at JAE and the Jap Show Finale.

The magazine is only available via subscription at a special advance discounted price of £14 (saving £5.80) for our members (for UK). Use this code on the subscription form: “ ADVANCE ” until 14th December when it will rise to £16. The magazine cover price is £4.95. Cost of postage is included in the subscription. Overseas cost is £28.

Total Nissan will also include a Classified section for advertising your car / parts which will be offered to members free of charge for the launch issue.

Expect to see regular content about our members’ cars, along with other Nissan related features – see more at www.totalnissan.co.uk Content includes, products, readers cars, overseas, rally, drifting, latest launches, tech specials, tuning & mods etc etc.

They will try to cover as many Nissan models as possible, Micra, Almera, Primera, 350Z, Skyline, GTR to name but a few – this is only limited by the following of each model – please suggest models to them that you feel should be covered.

Any subscriber questions should be sent on email to [email protected] where Stuart will happily help. Please do not post questions on the forum or by PM – email is the only guaranteed way to reach them.

We wish Total Nissan every success with the new magazine - but it’s success depends on us all, so go and subscribe now!

An e-mail i recieved tonight from Total Nissan Magazine,

-----------------------------------------------------

Hi, i am from Total Nissan here with a quick email to introduce myself.

First of all, I should let you know that we have postponed the launch of the first issue until the end of January.
I would appreciate it if you could put a small post on your forum to keep your members up to date.

Secondly, with regards your club can you supply a quarter page ad and about 600-800 words on the history of your club, membership details and a brief description of your upcoming events?

I would very much appreciate it if you can also put a post on your forum to let your members know they can send in their cars for consideration for our “Readers’ Cars” section. This would be a two page feature on their cars and for this we would need the following:

6-8 hi-res and varied images of their cars(minimum 0.5 meg)

600-800 on the history of their car; why they chose this particular model, where they bought the car, what work they’ve had done and by who, what work they intend to carry out in the future and who will be doing this work as well as some comments on the general ownership.

Full spec list in list format

Finally, and most importantly, I would very much appreciate it if you could forward one car from your club to feature in our cover story for the first issue. We intend to cover as many of the various Nissan Models as possible and the owner of the car you forward needs to be able to travel to a central location(tbc) on the 15th of January where they will meet with the other owners and our team to have the full feature done.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Cheers.

Well what can i say but any takers that fancy getting there vehicle into a two page magazine spread and doing a club write up?????.

Regards, Mav.

I personally think that it should be your motor Mav,being the Boss!!! and you have a very nice motor too!

Aaaaa!!
But then you have a Mav!!!...lol
Sorry to many beers!!

Suppose i could change the grill!!!!.

Its only got a few extras, Not really any mods.

I think most of us a running fairly standard motors as we all know that they dont need much doing after leaving the factory as they are capable of just about anything,
Was thinking more like something big with a body lift or a big Patrol being the flag ship.

Needs to be ok for the meet on the 15th Jan.

Could probably be available on the 15th, I won't be working that day but would need to arrange child care or bring Amy (1yr old) with me, as a few of you know she's been green laning for months now. But once again mines a Mav.

EDIT

I've checked and Alisons not working so I'd be ok after all. From reading the email they sent looks like it will be a group shot

We intend to cover as many of the various Nissan Models as possible

and I wonder if you got a generic email sent out to other owners clubs, they may be interested in having one of every model we can supply, ie T2/Mav, T1, R3M, D21, Nav, Patrol, X-Trail etc etc etc. Worth asking them anyway. Also see what they think about a Ford badged Nissan.

I have an idea  :!: :!: ......you lot can come round to mine, put all your good bits n pieces onto my Terrano, then you could use my vehicle......how about that :?:

I am happy [in fact ecstatic]
The club would be happy.

I am not sure wot you would do with whats left of your vehicles, but we all have to make sacrifices sometime.

Hey Tony, is Robo the clown still on here with his modded mistral? Doors that drop off, multi coloured smoke out the exhaust, or is he still trapped under his truck with a coil of towbar cable in his hands -rotfl-

Reading the posts and looking at where the mag is from then I would suggest NNMan and his truck, although its still a drive for him.

I don't want to appear rude but the mag looks a very boy racer type of mag, with comments about drifting etc. I wonder if its appeal is for the 4x4 user at all?

Probably is aimed a boy racer types but if enough 4x4 types write in etc they'll no doubt take notice, a new mag will want readers from wherever it can get them, anyway, some of our members would feel right at home - you know who you are.

What do they want regarding a vehicle, one thats used and modded for offroade.g. hummingbirds.one for bling Cosmic/Sweety/Mav ,plus a few others to name a few.Or a standard one.The list is endless.

Dinky are you saying mines bling 8O 8O  I know what your getting at mate  mine is a bit different from most T2's with it having the graphics & a boot full of speakers  but it is allowed to play in the mud as you know

I have heard of this lot before somewhere but i can't put my finger on it just now. Who is the publishing house Mav? I think i recall them being something to do with the Skyline and 200 scene in Ireland where the drifting sport is quite big. Reckon if they want a race i could get my Patrols back end drifting on the bends a bit so long as the roads are a bit wet lol

Hello there Irish,

I believe Pathfoot is a publishing company based in Livingston.

Mines more like a Mistral, what with having the mistral number plate mount on the back, though it does sat 4x4xford not mistral on it.
