went out today got stuck in deep
bent my winch lost the steps took in water and have no electrics at all now not even a light on the dash ,,,, nothing battery dead and tried new battery its all still dead.

anyone know a quick fix ?

freezing cold wet and fed up

the jeep was working fine we got stuck and tried winching but would not move it , it just bent the winch. a second jeep tried pulling it out with a winch while we tried driving out and she just died we have no electrics now not a flicker . eventually we got some lad from the local landrover club to pull it out , sadly the only way out was through a deep river but she was not running then water was up to top of bonnet

How deep was the water inside your motor as you may have drowned the poor ECU

Could it be broken battery terminals?.

Maxi fuses in engine bay fuse box?

Pull the injectors / glow plugs before attempting to start it- i.e. dont bend a rod!

I would change the oils too.

Tim..

There's some kind of main fuse on Nissans that they refer to as a "Fuseable Link". I have no idea where they are on a T2 but from what I can remember they are simply a plastic plug with what looks like a loop of wire on the back of them.

They're in the relay box under the bonnet have a look there first.

Have you got it going again?? If not just check the battery earth lead, they have a habit of snapping near the battery terminal. If all else fails where in Swansea are you?? Auto wiring is a bit of a thing I do if you get stuck.

all done she is running

hi guys all running now, it was one of the 2 little wires to the battery terminal that had fractured and totally killed the electrics, just need to fix her up a but now before i go back in the deep stuff...

first i need to check my turbo i dont think its working , it sounds like its spinning (rough) but nothings happening power wise

any way thanks for the kind offers and advise

if it did injest some water (which the engine may have survived if its running sweetly) it will have killed the MAF without a doubt though- they wont stand any water.

Hi there Timbo_1975 my 2.4 is running a bit rough at the mo and wonder what this MAF thing is?
Could it be my problem too?
Where is it and can I test it?
Cheers Pete
