I have an x-trail dci sport and the dash 6cd multichanger is playing up (wont play discs!) keep getting a message check disc, but they are fine.
Anyone know if it is a common problem or easily sorted?

This might sound silly but have you tried a cleaning disc in it to clean the lasser :?:
Not a silly question, as i haven't done that
I will go out and give it a go

It might be just a dirty lasser, but it could be a faulty lasser so I would give it a clean first to rule that out  Is it normal CD's or CDR's it don't like just that the one Terrano would happily play both. Just mentioned it in case that could be poss part of the problem

no joy, it even says check disc with the cleaning disc :x
Also when you turn the ignition off, the cd changer noises seem to go mad, and i have to put the radio on before i turn the ignition off to stop the changer from what sounds like trying to change a disc constantly

I know when i got my T2 and loaded the disc changer up i put the discs in the wrong way(upside down!) but my changer is under the drivers seat, you say yours is in the dash?,just a thought!! :?

Had a similar prob with mine a few years back, It could be cured by disconnecting the cd player (main loom cable from head unit) and reconnecting, it might help with yours, worth a try, good luck.

Does it have a code? as i dont have it.
Also how do i remove it? as i dont see any holes for a removal tool, thanks
