from memory, if you look carefully theres a tensioner you need to loosen off....

Thanks for that! but my 2.7 tdi has a 3 belt system, two are easy to do but no idea how the A/C belt is slackened off.

Just that tensioner sprokit....stand by yer bed a minute, I'll be back......

its the tensioner in this diagram.....i think you'll find its perfectly intuitive when you actually look at the thing....just give it a go...
