And from this description, I guess you need some one to give you the reason...:nenau

You have a short somewhere.:doh

DO NOT PUT A BIGGER FUSE IN :doh:doh:doh

Now if the colour was reddish brown then...

I could go on, but since it's not April 1st I won't

yes, my spot lights have a short somewhere, :doh

But it's Nissan wiring, the circuit is all in the loom, I'm wondering if it's something to do with the headlight circuit as the stoplights only work when the headlights are on.

I must admit I can't work out how that would happen, but weird things like lights only working when other non-related ones are on or off is usually an earthing problem.

Also a short to earth can cause back feeding through other lights as well

Did you damage an earth wire when you did the number plate light, or trap a feed wire?

Also check the tow bar electric socket, as most of the wires you need come together in this one spot.

If it has happened recently, then you need to look at what you have disturbed before.

good point reason enough to have them as high as possible.

have even wondered about a multi way isolator for them up in the body
and certainly for pin 4 on the 12s which is always live and vulnerable to
damage.

i think yourer right about an earth, when i wired my volt meter in a while ago, a 30amp fuse kept blowing for the rh headlight, i sorted that, the spots have been off for a while and ive only just got around to looking at it:eek:,
