Really does pick its feet up. I've been putting what I thought was 20% mix, err but my calcumatations were a bit out.:doh was a bit lumpy for a couple of seconds in traffic which is a sign of the oil being slightly thick, so i put 5quid in and it came nice again. :clap
Does yours struggle at 1500rpm? Mine shakes and vibrate, had to change down. Not any more. Much improvement, will pull away now in 3rd 4th at lower revs and can change into 5th @ 2000rpm.

Hope it doesn't blow:lol

80/20 is what i run oursat seems to like it lots and yes pulls like a train cheeeeeeeew cheeeeeeeew

I think that ratio is a little high guys :augie
No expert but 5% more sensible I reckon.
Not often one for caution :lol but worth a second opinion .

Its what that fella off the veg oil forum suggests. Jhandanna? What he doesnt know.... Clever fella. Think he got banned though. :lol
Im not a member, just read alot of his threads.

Dont forget it is winter... It is only to thin it down to diesel viscosity as it is thinner than diesel, 5-10% when it gets warmer..... pump still getting lubed from the veg.
Still, I don't mind being corrected .

Ah well fair enough. Like I said I'm no expert just thinking out loud :thumbs
When I was on veggy I never had more than 5% and had no winter woes, other than a lumpy start.
Enjoy :thumbs

Yeh I run 10% and that seems fine for around zero deg. Ambient

thats where ive gain a lot of information on blending and bio production, seems a lot now use svo or a blended svo mix due o the high cost of wvo.

reading very old historical posts you can see svo at 25/30pl new and wvo was free because so many places just dumped it down the drain

My first time was a Pug 306 1.9D, Lidl 56p/ltr.

Do you put anything in to boost the cetane? Goes very well on 80/20 but if I can get a better burn I will try it.

no i dont add anything i was thinking about veggi boost to up the cetane abit but to be honest it runs fine on our blend.

im still up for making some bio this year iv got all the gear to make it just need a good free or v cheap supply of wvo to be worth it my original supplier when i was first going to do it stop dead.

:lol:lol Exactly what I've been experiencing on the way home!!!!!
Was worried that something else was knackered on the car

Does yours give you small puffs of grey smoke if you sit there in neutral revving at 1500rpm? That's what mine is doing at the mo

Yes, They all do that when stationary, It's a Fueling setting on the ECU. It's like it misfires when I blip it.

vegi boost :lol
Think I will try some one day.

roughly 20% is what I use - helps get the WVO through the filters a bit blooming quicker at these temps too. I REALLY need to get time to do the glowplugs that I've had for ages as mine is very reluctant to start when temp drops to -5 or so.

A splish splash of diesel in the mix seems to save me changing the glows for now! :D
