can the lwb rear seats be fitted in the swb ?:nenau

just for occasional use.

Id say definitely not - even in the LWB they are only for smallish kids under about 9-10.....they might just go into the SWB but (i) there would be zero legroom, and (ii) you'd have to ensure you did a top job of securing the seat to a to a leagl standard, not to mention having to fit seat belts etc...

I wont be doing anything unless its 150% safe , was only becuase i saw some 7 seaters in the breakers , i just though it might be more comfy for them than in the trailer (JOKE).

you laugh, but what about those bespoke dog trailers ! They'll do!

I suspect they might still be illegal for such youngsters but what about seeing if you can retrofit side seats like the Disco etc..? There would definitely be space for them?

na on reflection even if they fitted they are a bit close to the rear door , dont want to be hit up the arris.

Mrs says we will just have to leave them chained to the radiator like normal :p

It would make your car insurance void aswell, and they wouldn't insure it if you notified the change, I'm afraid.
This subject has been covered alot on Isuzu troopers owners club, it's a "no no"

i recon a lwb wouldnt be that bad off road.... trouble is lwb tend to be family cars for everyday use . where as swb tend to be the second car a toy if you like.
you wouldnt want to bang your lwb about whereas my swb i dont mind a dent or 6

cant use the bench seat, but i have seen some seat like a landy as side faceing.
will look for link for you later

I personally wouldn't muck about trying to add seating to a vehicle that it hasn't been designed for, not where nippers are concerned. Why not get a LWB as the "family wagon", then use the SWB for playing with. You can tell SWMBO that you don't want to get "her" car dirty !

Lee. :lol

just looking at getting her another astra vxr ...

My Mrs has a 51 plate Vectra as her "family wagon". I can't get her to change it for love nor money.
