4WD

can only get it into 4L, the gear stick wont go forward to 2H - 4H
Can anyone help?

Push down on the lever then forwards which will take you into 4H & then into 2WD depending how far forward you push it. To select 4L you'll have pulled the gear stick back into 4H & have pushed down. The reason for having to push the lever down is for safety as you need to be at a stand still to go into or out of 4L but going from 2WD to 4H can be done on the move

In 4wd Low your engines revs high but car doesnt go as fast. Loads of fine control of the car and loads more gutsy power.

Haha you'll not be able to see out the windscreen lol.

The weirdest feeling is going down a really steep hill in first gear low box, letting the car just pick its way down and not touching the brakes at all. I got manual hubs so i can use low box and effectively still be 2wd, great for taking it up onto the car ramps.

As Jim has said 4H is 4 wheel drive high ratio & 4L is 4 wheel drive low ratio, the easiest way for me to explain the difference is if you've ridden a mountain bike the biggest gear on the front on the crank is the same as high ratio & the smallest gear at the front on the crank is low ratio

Yes well the engine is
