I read it all about a year or two ago, Pretty much the route I was going to go.

The last turbo i fitted was the chinese manifold and turbo t3t4 i rebuilt the turbo with garret internals as it was a garrett copy and had the manifold re skimmed, the end result was good. Those kinugawa turbos are jap but they were not available back then..

Shipping on the parts is the killer..
