Heading up to Yorkshire for a few days after easter so thought I'd give the truck a service. Engine and gearbox oil and filter done with no problems. Air filter replaced ok and then it was time for the new diesel filter. Couldn't shift the old one. Tried for 20-30 mins, no chance. Didn't help that there's a guard around it which is in the way.
Had a brew and a think.....
Bingo. uploadfromtaptalk1428077906092.jpg
Unbolted the filter bracket turned it over and bolted it back on. Was very tight needing an oil filter strap to get it undone. Once it was loose, I refitted it before winding the filter off.
Job done. [emoji56]

Good man :thumb2

Amazing what a brew can fix :thumb2

Same technique as I use on my 2.7tdi.
So much easier and quicker :thumb2

Smart thinking bud :thumbs

To be honest I just unbolt the whole thing and stick the bracket in the vice then put the stilson on the filter :thumb2
