Got my new tyres fitted today :D

285/75/16 (33" in old money) Cooper Discoverer STTs. Really pleased with them. Fill the wheel arches much better than the old tyres.

I just hope the blue colouring on the letters fades a little!

Looking good.... The blue colouring is just a protective layer, and washes off, leaving nice shiny white lettering.

Thanks bud, that's what I was hoping re the blue layer. A few of the guys on FB said the same :thumb2

They look great & yes the blue washes off easily with hot soapy water & an old brush makes it a lot easier. I like white lettering on show:thumbs

Nice one:thumb2
I have the stt in the 37", only 3 of them and the other is a Mickey Thompson MTZ which is a very similar pattern.
Nice n quiet on the road compared to the Maaxis Creepy's that I had.
Hope to meet up in August if you're at that one:thumb2

Cool that is the same size as I have on mine just mine are bfg at my fuel economy suffered a bit was averaging 22-24 now average 19-21 be interesting to see how if yours changes much being a manual also mine does a lot of short trips. I hate white letters so mine are on the inside.

Kind regards

Russell.

PS. let me know how much I owe for centres with postage and I can paypal that to you.

Thanks guys, had a go with the hose and scrubbing brush and all the blue came straight off.

Patrolman I will see you in August (you too Panelbeater if you make it along :thumb2)

Thanks guys, I'm liking them a lot :thumb2

Wasn't going to replace quite as soon I have but I was going to do it before the August trip and I figured the sooner I had the Kuhmos off the more I could get for them as they'd have more tread (*cough* still for sale by the way, 11mm tread... :augie)

Zac how did you find the Lokka when you did your solo greenlaning by the way - I realise you probably didn't get extreme enough to cock a leg but did you notice much difference when steering in 4wd?

You people all sound like my wife when she meets a friend with a new pair of shoes on :)

But indeed, nice truck :)

Wasn't extreme enough mate but I have noticed that even in 2WD that it clicks like mad when turning, common place though according to the FAQ LOKKA page and also many Jeep forums, glad I've fitted the manual hubs as now I just unlock them and nothing up front spins :thumbs

Rick, does yours click or can anyone else comment on their LOKKA, I know there's not many of us with them fitted :naughty

Clicking while turning if the hubs are locked is good - means they're working if I understand correctly:thumbs
