The specification says it is fused at 40A, so how on earth do they figure on 1200W?
Assuming 100% efficiency, (which it will not be) 1200W is circa 85 AMPS!

Bit overkill for charging a mobile as most portable equipment will run off 12v. Car chargers for phones are small and less than a fiver. David.

get a usb charger 1-2 pound, then use a cig socket plug usb output.

Then you can use your other usb devices in the car
