Tomorrow the 9th July the 30,000th Last Post ceremony will take place at the Menin Gate in the town of Ypres. This ceremony has taken place at 20:00 every evening since 1935. Do a google search or facebook search for The Last Post Society.
Such an amazing thing that the local fire brigade do to remember the fallen of the Great War.

Dont think it can be forgotten by most countries. Such a tragedy with such a sad loss of lives on all sides.
Wish I could be there to see it, saw it last year with a party of young people who took part in the ceremony. Exceptionally moving. An old lady came up to our commanding officer and gave her a hug and a kiss, brought a lump to my throat.
