3 Litre Alternator

Has anyone ever replaced the alternator on a 3 litre?

Decided that I’m going to bite the bullet and replace mine. Besides disconnecting the battery and replacing alternator belt at the same time has anyone got any tips please.

mine stopped working when out caravaning at worksop,tested it no output,on phone o eurocar and got it next day,with discount was around 80 fitted no problem all ok now.wide pully on front has a clutch or something in it,make sure new one comes with it. my belt was ok so left it.

Jeez I don’t know where you got that amount of discount from mate. I’ve tried euro car parts and I can order online with a mid week discount but it’s still about £120.
Andrew Pages can order a Bosch recon but that £200 plus vat, big ouch.
