I own both. Here my view

Lwb, easier to get in with back doors. More boot space

Swb, obviously feels shorter in the back but the main difference is boot space. There's still good amount of room in the back for 3 people seating positions dash is all identical.

I'd say for just 3 people, a swb should be ok

Hope this helps;)

One thing I really dislike about my SWB is the way the back seat is so upright. I've sat there to check what it's like and it's really not pleasant! I assume the 5dr has a better set-up. Depends how much you like the person who's going to sit there I guess!

I'd have a lwb, little difference off road and the extra space is totally useful, wheel base is 104 inch so its more a mwb compared to most other lwb 4x4's

There's a lever at the side of both rear seats on my swb to alter the angle of the seat backs!

I thought that was just to release them forward! I'll have a play tomorrow. Not that anyone has been anywhere near the back seats yet. They're only up to stop stuff in the boot rolling around.

seats in lwb go back but its only a slight incline would be handy if they went down flat
