I want to fit some General Grabber AT2 tyres. My vehicle has got the 235 65 17 factory fitted tyre size tyres. The grabbers are not available in the standard size so just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the bigger tyres, ie 255 65 17. It works out at approx 3% bigger and about 20mm larger diameter. Its nice to see if any one else has done this successfully and saves me a world of pain.:thumbs

No. Its a terrano. I think from about 04 onwards some had 17" wheels fitted.

My SVE was originally on 17's

same diameter but 20mm wider so i would say they should go on no problem(but don't hold me to that):lol

Will do a bit of measuring and jiggery Pokery and I reckon they will probably be OK.26mm diameter increase is not massive and for what i want it to do it should be all reyt. Will call in and have a chat soon Elt. The welding will start on my new terrano later in the year. Weird how they rust in the strangest of places. If it's got tits or tyres it will give you trouble.

always welcome matey:thumb2
you will have no problems on the rears but might be close on the front on full lock,a tweak of the torsion bars may be enough.until you actually get them on the motor its hard to say.
rusty terrano:doh you will start giving me nightmares again:lol:lol
