2400 Petrol Tuning

Hi guys i think I've killed the engine in me maverick. It was running rough anyway but now its got big rattles/knocks from the top end. I guess it's the little ends about to go!
I've got another 2.4 petrol alleged to be in good nick but!!!!!!
Are there any common mods I can do to tune it up a bit before I pUt it back in ?
Poss injectors, cam etc and a decent exhaust header.

None that I've heard of.

If you can find a decent exhaust manifold let me know (headers indeed we're on the right hand side of the pond.

A cam might be of some use - again if you can find one.

Swapping injectors without a full remap is a recipe for disaster.
