speedo and rev counter go of the scale and just generally go up and down erratically,I know that these are the magneto marrelli clocks which are known to be troublesome, but mostly with the lcd display, but oddly enough mine read fine. there is a listing on ebay that wil rebuild clocks for about £130 but heard not good things about then (alledgedly). Need to get it sorted cos i've been guessing my speed for about 2 years and it's doing me nut in .:nenau

Most satnav's have speed on them to help you a bit while you get it fixed. David

Think the rebuilds on Ebay are just the LCD part, one of these places did my Reno and it was a cracking service from them.

Speedo is mechanical on the earlier models for sure and not heard any different for later models but I'm sure someone else will be along to confirm how they work. You could try putting a volt meter across battery to make sure the voltage is stable as that would probably effect electronic devices if volts are going up n down.

You will probably find it isn't the unit that is the problem but the connectors.

Remove the unit, remove both plugs and clean all the connections in the plugs and sockets with a fibre glass pen.

It works in most cases. :thumbs
