Hi all.
My old 97 Maverick has just coughed up a clutch pedal fault with increased pedal travel. Quick look showed master cylinder lose of fluid but no evidence, so I looked underneath. All looks good at slave cylinder but I noticed the extra pipe that runs to the rear of the vehicle is corroded in one place and that's where my fluids going. Before I take out this pipe at the slave connection and find a suitable bolt/nut seal. Does this extra pipe actually do anything, as I have never seen such a thing on any other vehicles.
