2.4 Petrol expert wanted

Hi all, my 1998 2.4 petrol (70k miles ish) idles at high revs and the engine smells.
Car has recently been thoroughly serviced.

I'm looking for an expert in the UK who can diagnose and repair. (It doesn't matter WHERE they are located in the UK. If they're an EXPERT, I'll drive to them)

If there's anyone on this forum that knows anything about the KA24 engines then I would be going straight to Mr Ricky Solarman

He's had multiple 2.4's and has off roaded the hell out of most of them so if he aint fixed it I'd be surprised.

Been busy, if you follow the throttle cable back to the throttle body and look at the lever it attaches to you will see an adjusting screw, this will speed up or slow down the idle speed but only do this with the engine hot as there is a device that increases the idle speed when cold, Rick
