1996 t2 tdi e.m.l light on and loads black smoke

i have a t2 1996 swb 2.7 tdi it was kangarooing at 2500 revs with full throttle.now the power is back but e.m.l light on and loads black smoke when pressing accelerator pedal any ideas

TBH not sure but as it's pushing alot of black smoke I would think it's over fueling but i'm sure someone will no for sure:augie

Read your error codes as per workshop download, hopefully it will point you in the direction of the problem

i have read the codes and its number 12 which is mass air flow sensor has anyone got a second hand one that is good?

Grease providing its the cheaper Bosch one its not worth fannying about with s/h - better to get a new one.

have you seen the price of them they r £488 yeah thats right £488 4 a nissan one!!!:

Grease check your MAF and see whats written on it....the Bosch one is £30-40 quid, the Hitachi one is more but not that more! This one isn't OEM but its equivalent to the more expensive Hitachi:
