Hey All,

My power steering box is leaking and will need sorting sooner than i thought

Are there any seal kits available?

Anyone know the cost of an exchange unit and where to get one?

Any experiances/advice greatly apprciated.

Thanks in advance

Daz

Hi Daz,
If it's the same as the T2 you don't get a seal kit!!
When mine developed a leak at the bottom i phoned Nissan(I know a silly think to do,i needed a laugh!) and was told there was no repair kit,had to be a new one at £900.
Got one from Nissan 1st for £60 if i remember right?
Or if it's just seeping you could try this:-

Not tried it myself!!

Thanks mate, Think i'll give it a go!

Ive been put in touch with a place in London that'll re-build it for £240 so might not be too drastic!

Hello,

Good idea, Site is: http://www.power-steering.co.uk/powersteering.htm

Seemed like a really helpful place over the phone, Please note: This came from a 'friend of a friend', I have never used them myself so i cannot give them a reccomendation!!!!

Cosmic, I brought the same 'stop leak stuff' as per your advert from my local motor factors, It was £12. Its just a REALLY thick ATF fluid, Dont really like putting stuff like that in, But for £12 its kill or cure really!! It has worked but only because its too thick to actually drip!!!! Obviously the seal has still failed and the fluid comes out, but hey it'll tide me over!
