    Squeeky wipers

    wipers after nearly 2 years of torment and trying different things i eventually oiled the splined bit that the wiper arms bolt onto and it cured it almost instantly something must corrode down there causing the arms to judder

    Too much oil in gears?

    gear oil yes went to local Nissan dealer for oil not cheap though I think alex recommended this on here first I just needed the light nights and the rain to stop to get round to doing the changeover

    gearbox oil just changed my gearbox oil again tonight for the proper Nissan mt-xz gear oil part no ke916-99931 because comma spec oil made low gears notchey when cold it took just over 5 litres on level ground nice smooth gears again 2004 terrano 2- 2.7

    Power steering leak from metal tube

    leaky pipe repaired mine with 10mm copper and a couple of 10 mm brass compression fittings type used in domestic plumbing easy to bend and connects to the alloy pipe with a good fit

    heating problem go to your local builders merchants and ask which chemical flushing solution they would advise eg sentinel x800 and give it ago yourself it is more than likely a sludge issue if it has just happened after 10 years as the rest of the lads have suggested

    can anyone tell me the correct grade and quantity of gearbox oil I,ll need to replace mine it,s a 2004 2.7 tdi- local motor factors place recons it,s 3.5 litres of 75/90 gl4 or5 but iam sure I,ve read on here its more like 7 litres of 75/90 gl4 only

    had a proper go at the bolts on the caliper carriers loosened all but one on drivers side getting 1/2 inch drive long bar delivered tomorrow to go with the 19mm impact socket I used today thanks to all you guys and girls who posted the positive and helpful comments will let you know how it goes

    does the brake caliper carrier have to be removed to take off hub/disc assembly the two bolts on mine are pretty seized 18mm socket doesn't seem correct size either does anyone know what the correct size bolt they are have got a butane plumbers type torch would this help to heat up the carrier...

    another aircon question

    just refilled aircon with Halfords diy kit doesn't seem any different bloke at Halfords tested for leaks first and said it was ok to do myself revs go up when switched on which suggests compressor is working any ideas am I missing something many thanks to replies
