Insult from a Land Rover owner!!

To be honest though it tends to be VOSA that jump on you nowadays rather than traffic cops, weight wont come into it with those buggers... major revenue collectors! It might be worth a mod chopping this bit of the thread off and starting a new one with it, that way this thread can get back to...

    Green lane code of conduct

Again I agree completely. There is a lot more to be done, but if were all doing our little bit maybe the others will also, one can hope!

What can happen if you go where you should not be

I agree! Something has to be done if the people who are supposed to enforce the laws struggle to understand them

Insult from a Land Rover owner!!

so am i reading this right, a vehicle say max tow 2800kgs cant therefore tow a 3500kg trailer laden or unladen only a vehicle rated to 3500kg as its equal or less than

Insult from a Land Rover owner!!

Different mate, its a car and does not have a tow rating so its down to the kerb weight of the car :thumb2 Thats why its a stupid law, mondeo can legally tow Brian James 3.5t trailer unladen. Nissan Terrano cant legally tow it

    Green lane code of conduct

    Green lane code of conduct

And everyone is entitled to an opinion! The picking up of others rubbish... well fair play but I know I have myself in the past as I think its just unsightly if nothing else, I love my countryside and want to remain able to use it :thumbs

Insult from a Land Rover owner!!

Yes but have been through my test and got E entitlement. But I can only go to 7000kgm gross train where as you 8250 i think. I need to find that DVLA post but i'm 99.9% sure the law is that if vehicle max tow weight 3.0 a 3.5t trailer cannot be towed at all. Need that link whoever it was!!!!

Yes mate i mean exactly that! I didnt know either until it was brought to my attention on here. My instructor ran me through everything except the fact my maverick was unable to tow the Brian james trailer we use even when empty... although my Nissan Primera can cos it dont have a tow rating...

    Green lane code of conduct

Hi guys, I mentioned in a thread there was a green lane code of conduct which is general knowledge to most green laners but for the sake of new comers it was thought worthy of posting. If we all follow these simple rules it might just help keep them open, you never know! :) Here is a simple...

Insult from a Land Rover owner!!

Cor you were lucky! I'd have thought a lwb was over 2200 myself, never checked mines weight! For the sake of the VOSA tho just check your trailers plate as I didnt know you cant tow an empty trailer rated higher than the tug. And i've been through my "E" licence training and test. Thought I...
