    Amateur radio Microwave module

Basically, from 30mHz upwards, this is line of sight comms, below that, then you have two external factors, the earths crust, and the ionasphere. The earth has a nice magnetic field which affects low frequency radio transmissions, you've heard of the VLF rugby time signal, transmitted around the...

    turbo boost

Seems like the MAF sensor is a major problem on these cars.......... I carry a spare, I'm going to measure the voltages at different RPM for reference and put on here... that way, its definitive, for my car anyway (T2 2.7, on X plate). I've heard that nissan have brought out a modified MAF...

    no power....

Last friday I went up to glasgow, got about 30 miles and the car lost power, turned ignition off and then re-started, all ok for a few miles, same problem again, stopped and fitted new MAF sensor, all ok then roughly every 7 minutes, no power and the car went into limp home mode....... Did the...

2000 T2 Tdi Front Indicator bubble nearside

Hi All, During a moment of inattention, I managed quite easily to break the nearside indicator lens, does anyone have one for the new shape T2? It's the bubble type with the orange bulb. Let me know the price/postage and I'll sort out detail. Many thanks Dave

fault code 34 and 47 ? mil light strange running ? help

Nice one Clivvy, Looks like you had quite a time with your car, damned electronics..... it depends on the age of the car as to which type of ECU is fitted and thats a lottery sometimes... at least there's a fix for the problem, the one I fixed took about 2 months to sort out overall and I'm no...

fault code 34 and 47 ? mil light strange running ? help

pre 97 vehicles have older ecu's fitted, the main difference between pre and post '97, is the processor negative in the older units is common to the battery negative, in the newer units, a form of invertor/isolator is used to prevent earth loops and false grounding problems. I can offer the...

fault code 34 and 47 ? mil light strange running ? help

Its one of those weird faults tho on the older vehicles that can confuse the ECU, its mainly because the ECU processor used the negative as earth instead of an invertor/isolator, this would cause the unit to give erratic readings, or inaccurate at the very least..... on the newer vehicles with...

fault code 34 and 47 ? mil light strange running ? help

flywheel sensor is top dead centre on the clutch housing, unfortunately you have to take the clutch housing off to get at it (changed my clutch this march and did it then) if you look behind the inboard end of the rocker cover around the back of the injector rack, you'll see a pair of cables...

fault code 34 and 47 ? mil light strange running ? help

HI, don't think its a crank sensor, if it is, its only a matter of cleaning it, but also could be the flywheel sensor............. I had a very similar problem on an M reg swb maverick, same fault codes as well, after chasing through the faults and not fixing the car, it turned out to be the...

Auto hubs, do they need checking

get the car up on a ramp, lower the chassis onto lift rails and turn the front propshaft by hand, as you rotate clockwise, you will hear the auto hubs click on both sides, go anti-clock and they click again........... simples

    Terrano vs Trooper

I have used a T2 for work and leisure for the last 3 years now after having got rid of my last land rover (owned that marque since I was 17 and lots older now) and can say its reliable, tows better than most, more economical and better off road......... and I've done a lot of off road. My T2...

QUICK - BBC FOUR AT 9PM TONIGHT (Sun)

I quite agree, the trampling tourists, and it has to be said, there are some commercial operators who charge to take groups on the lanes, often find the most extreme or make new tracks with severely tricked up vehicles.........they do cause a great deal of damage....... Perhaps if people on here...

QUICK - BBC FOUR AT 9PM TONIGHT (Sun)

Bottom line is................... unless the likes of us get off our backsides and do something, then we will see our rights eroded, CRAG and GLASS have kept whitestones open, the wayfarer, pheasant steps, strata florida and countless others open by working with local authorities to develop a...

QUICK - BBC FOUR AT 9PM TONIGHT (Sun)

I recall a similar conversation about two years ago on here, and the likes of GLASS, CRAG, TRF and Tread Lightly were ridiculed in the main, its come back and bit all of us who lane on the backside.......... if we knew about those organisations and didn't do anything to try to work with the...

    Insurance claim

was the car park council or private land? ie, supermarket car park, there is a distinction in law.......... access rights don't always confer legal status to sue for insurance claims unless personal loss or injury over a certain threshold..........
