I have a suspected mechanical pump issue. I'm wondering about putting on the old EDC pump. Now this will be without any ECU control , so should it still work but without boost control for example ? Obviously it will have stop solenoid wired .

Is it possible to fit the 2.7 injection pump 180 degrees out in timing ? Would the engine even run in such a scenario ?

Hello again troops, anyone still here want to talk engines ? I rebuilt the black pearl engine a couple of years back and after about a 1000 miles it was dead. In essence a bad hone wore away the piston rings resulting in massive blow by. Took it out stripped it down and ever so carefully...
