Just collected this rather nice 3.0l Was diagnosed by the aa with broken gearbox.It starter and tried to move but loads of resistance then large band moved forwards 2" then bang again and so on.Only just managed to get on the trailer. So question is what was wrong with it? Answers on postcard please

Anyone got any fixed hubs or suggest best way to permantly lock an auto hub. Getting very wet and muddy have a terrano i just use offroad for moving things around sold the auto hubs now its useless in 2wd with all the mud:doh

After many hours of toil i can confirm that the td and tdi gearboxes are completly different.If you check the photo the only part in common is the transfer box.obviously this is completely useless information unless of course you were going to change your gearbox but i thought i would share it...

Does anyone know if the pump on 2.7tdi is coded to the ecu.Selling engine buyer says he wants the ecu and key fobs.I thought you could just change the engine and use the existing ecu.:nenau
