Well I've just driven to West Yorkshire and back from north Kent to pick a horse trailer up. Going up solo I was getting 29 mpg coming back with some bloody great hills and a strong wind it went down to 16mpg , scary. Has anybody else gone this low or lower . It's a 2.7tdi and an ifor williams...

Sorry one last question does the crank sensor have any imput to the rev counter ?

I tried the paper clip and as far as I can make out it has two 12 and 95 . Is there a list somewhere to check what they are. Thanks for help ,well worth £10 for all the info !!!

Hi It's a 1999 tdi . I put the old one back in and went for a drive although down on power it constant all the time. It was a Bosch 0281002207 the new one doesn't have that number and is made by a company called Blue Print . There is no mil light on haven't checked for any codes , not sure how

I have read that the ecu has to learn the new sensor , is this true ? Do I have to reset it or should it just work. Must admit it wasn't a Bosch one but it wasn't an Ebay chinese copy either

I bought a new MAF sensor for the Terrano and fitted it. Went out for a test drive and it really pulled well until it had no go at all. Turned off and back on and it ran fine then did it again. Have I got a suspect sensor? It didn't do this before .

Thanks for a your help . Coming off the drive today on full lock there was a quite load clunk , am I right in thinking it's the steering stop caps. There does seem to be quite a bit of corrosion under the car but it only seems to be surface . Can anybody recommend a company local to me in...

When I say it comes on and goes off , it's only on when I turn the ignition on and goes off as soon as it starts . Sorry didn't mean it comes on when the engine is running . One other thing , the mount for the front bumper is very rusty, actually quite a bit of it isn't there anymore . Can this...

Yeah it came from a stealer , I did feel a bit peeved that they couldn't fix the rev counter , apparently their diagnostic tool was too new ?????? Sounds like a cop out to me . The MIL does come on and go off again. It does have some history but there's a gap between the services.

Hi clivvy The Terrano is fine on the road it was the trooper that seemed to be floating all over the place. I'll get the filters changed and clean out the MAF sensor. Can I use contact cleaner or should I buy a MAF cleaner?

Hi Just bought my first 4x4 to lug my daughter's horse around. Looked at a few different makes , either too expensive or didn't like the drive (trooper) ,wandered all over the place . Seems a little sluggish don't know what to look at first any ideas ?
