Quick update there is certainly something wrong in the pump and I have had it running again and it revved out on its own then would not start again would this likely be the electronics on the top of the pump as its not showing an engine management light? I do have plenty of power to the heater...

No fuel pump added Rick i wonder if the advance solenoid is sticking in the pump.

Thanks Rustic it could be fuel lines but there is a whirring noise at the diesel pump as soon as the ignition is turned on.

Its only done a 100k when it runs it doesn't smoke although when first started it misses a bit but if you throttle it it clears and picks up fine.It still pulls like a train if you can keep it running.LOL

Simple answer I don't know I will check it tomorrow and get back to you. My 96 one never gives any trouble.

I have taken all the wiring plugs apart and used electrical cleaner and cannot see any breaks in the wiring. The glow plug light works and the glow plug relay clicks on and off. I would of thought if it had glow plug problems it would still start when warm but after a minute it will no longer start.
