oil burners release there horse power in one go so you have a few secounds of high power and then low power. but petrols release there horse power slowly so the power is just a small press of the pedal away.

right, wipe the engine down try to get as much of the cr@p and rubbish off it mainly around the intercooler check your oil level then use the jeep like you would normally do I.E. shopping, going to work, ect do this for about 3 - 5 days then check the engine over again if there is oil covering...

have you checked the intercooler already fitted to the 4x4?

goin off how much the nissan cost you are looking around £250-350 mark, but i will have a look for one for you now.

the nissan x-trail we have would only rev to 2500rpm no matter how far you put your foot down it would not go above that and when it hit 2500rpm it jerked like it was stalling only difference being the engine does not cut out. this sounds like a similar problem, if you check very carefully...
