thats the problem with these things if they rev it up and the valves shoot out ad start dancing on the bonnet they can not be held for it and it's up to the owner of the vehicle to sort out. some of them even make you sign a waver. i don't see the point in revving it up even once.

it's not something i would recommened to do unless your a mechanic they are not easy to do and if you mess the timing up you'll end up blowing the engine and it'll need a lot of new stuff then.

plus the amount of kit you would need for that would exceed what your average off roader carries. 16,000LB + winch, extra winch cable, 3-4 snatch blocks, 6-7 c rings. a professional off roader who is off road head deep in it every weekend yes they might have this much kit.

it works but, in my eyes it would be better to winch out forwards turn round and get it stuck rather then put the winch and chassis under the amount of strain that would create.

correct me if i am wrong, but that would pull the bumper off doing that. think about the way the winch wire goes when you reel it in, unless the anchor in front was another 4x4 that moved slowly backwards?

why not pull the 4x4 out forwards turn it round and drive it back in and pull it out and then you'll be facing the right way as well.
