    Adrian Flux Insurance Services

I contacted them in November for a quote and they were significantly more expensive than my current insurere which is Insure

    Tyre sizes

I've been looking at the the K71s as well for my t2. I was told to look at 225/75/16s for my standard T2 wheels

    Locking Wheel Nuts

I had this problem. I got rid of the standard brace and now carry a single bar with two different socket heads.

Could buy several hundred lottery tickets too, I think there is probably more chance of them paying out

you dont need to get the water to 100 degrees. If the sender is at fault it will be pretty obvious when you get the meter on it, as I said, been there done it. You may also find, if it is an older engine and the sender has never been removed you will really struggle to get the sender out...

Personally I'd disagree with that being the right way. Much better to test the sender in situ under conditions most similar to its normal environment. Just my opinion

    high temp maverick

Someone else may know better however I think in the workshop manual there is are the figures for either voltage or impedence for reading off the temp sender with a multi meter, this should give you an idea as to the state of the sender

Good option to see if the fan is kicking in- when it gets hot stop straight away and have a look under the bonnet.

    After Market Warranty

I've come to the conclusion that these insurance companies are like any other insurance companies, in general they take your money and then will do everything they possibly can to ensure they never have to pay out. Hence they make a profit.

    After Market Warranty

I was the exact opposite, the local nissan garage where a complete bunch of idiots- funny it closed down. I use a really good local firm that are propper mechanics rather than a spotty YTS kid who plugs it into a computer :o

    After Market Warranty

Couple of things to be aware of- They have an annual limit, is there a limit per claim as well? Secondly some of these warranty companies have a limit on the labour rate they will pay. E.g. Nissan may charge £60 per hour for labour, the warranty may only cover £30 per hour so you have to pick...

    After Market Warranty

Nope, had all the service history and was no requirement for main dealer service. They insisted there needed to be proof that something had broken in the engine to cause damage. I and the garage had no way of doing this without paying out a lot more money

    high temp maverick

Temp guage readings went really mad, would be cold one day then super hot the next- didnt seem to matter where I was driving apart from it came back to normal on idling. I guess there was a poor/bust connection and at higher revs it was shaking it about a bit

    After Market Warranty

I too have had problems with after market warranties. I sourced one through olympic. Three months into owning the T2 the engine blew itself to bits for no obvious reason. Everything had seemed fine, temp gage worked, oil pump worked, cooling system was A1. They refused to pay out, leaving me...

    high temp maverick

I have a lWB2.7 t2 and had a problem like this. I took it to the garage and they checked everything. Radiator, fan etc. They chased the fault back to the temp sender near the cooling manifold, it had a bad connection. Changed that and I had no temp reading at all- turned out the new sender...

    Replacement Tyres

Just following on from my previous post. Am I right? If I go for K71s, I'm going to have to change my wheels to accomodate the different tyre size?

    Replacement Tyres

Cheers I'n not convinced by remoulds, last year I ran a set of colway ATs, two had to be replaced by colway after about 100 miles and they only lasted about 10k before I had to replace them.

    Replacement Tyres

Cheers The pannard rod is still going well by the way. I looked at the K71s and I was very interested and have read some excellent reports. I dont think the do them in a size that will fit my wheels. I've got standard nissan wheels on AFAIK 235/70/16s and the closests Khumo do is 225/75/16s...
