Upon closer inspection, Psf is leaking between metal pipe and union nut. Started the engine and Psf poured out. So in my mind must knackered union nut ?? No seeping from thread of steering box wall. :confused:

Yeah, two union nuts from seperate cooling piping used now leaking, so must be the thread on the actual steering box chewing them up ?? Could I get it rethreaded?? Just incase, how much for steering box please ?? Thanks for your help guys

Thanks Rick, but I'm probably going down the line of a reinforced piping and high pressure connections. Worried about the thread on the steering box though !!

Sorry, meant to say PS fluid is seemingly leaking through the middle of the nut / tubing. Thanks

Hi to all. Just joined forum. Terrano mk2 2.7TD 05 plate Had a bad leak on the power steering, removed sump plate and high pressure alloy piping had become porous and leaking (in the u frame area that bolts onto body o/side). Kept topping up fluid, but was getting worse. Got hold of spare off...
