Finally got round to doing the trouble shoot code on the MIL light got the code 47 crankshaft position (CKP)sensor-incorrect signal probable cause wiring open/short circuit, ckp sensor. Would my next move be to remove the sensor clean it and re-fit, if so can you point me in the right...

After reading the above link , the upshot is to do a service on the Maverick.':idea:' I was driving down the road at the weekend the light came on and the engine cut out, '8O' I waited about 10 seconds and restarted it. It started first time and the light had gone off. The light doesn't come...

I undid the small tap to drain the water off but there was none in. :-( The light still comes on. However I have notice that it only comes on when the engine is warm. :? I will now go to the downloads section to read the fault codes, so I will look at this at the weekend in the daylight...

Re: engine malfunction light It comes on and off as you drive, when it is on there is a slight power loss, that you wouldnt notice if the light wasnt on.javascript:emoticon(':?') I didnt have chance to check out the fuel filter trap last night , so I will do it tonight.
